Brant Wilson is the EVP of TBC Corporation and President & COO of TBC Franchise Group. Brant joined TBC Corporation in November 2013 as Senior Vice President, TBC Franchise Group. Before joining TBC, Mr. Wilson was with H&R Block, where he spent eight years in increasing positions of management with his last assignment as Vice President of Acquisitions and Franchise Development. Prior to H&R Block, he was with Sprint Corporation, and ASAP Automation, Inc. He began his career as a Commissioned Officer with the United States Army. Brant holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University, a Master of Science from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy.

[2:50] Brant shares a bit about his history beginning with some military experience which led him to the franchising industry.
[6:29] Josh notes that many individuals who serve in the military do end up in leadership roles in the franchising industry.
[11:38] After working for HR Block for 8 years, Brant decided to make the transition over to TBC Corp.
[13:36] Josh comments that one of the biggest challenges franchisors have is making sure the sales process matches up with ideal franchisee candidates.
[17:51] One of the biggest factors in choosing franchisee candidates in Brant’s opinion is analyzing their “why”.
[21:19] Brant explains that the Midas franchise is 100% franchised, meaning there are no corporate owned locations.
[28:33] In Brant’s opinion, having name brand recognition helps with TBC Franchise Group’s success, but in the end, everything comes down to service and trust.
